(2018), Irish musician Hozier expanded the sound that made his debut album such a remarkable hit in his native Ireland and abroad. “Movement,” one of the tracks off of Wasteland, Baby!, was released as the second promotional single off the album. It was originally written by Hozier on the piano, eventually expanding into a Gospel-influenced R&B ballad, displaying an outward soulfulness that is a progression of the singer’s sound. The lyrics describe the power and impact of movement and dance, making references to Fred Astaire and the Biblical figure of Jonah. “Movement” was produced by Hozier and Markus Dravs. “Movement” hit Number 11 on the Billboard Digital Sales chart, and also went on to peak at Number 40 on the Irish Singles Chart.
