"From the Inside" is a song by American nu-metal band Linkin Park, included in their 2004 second album, Meteora. The track is considered one of the band's most intense compositions, featuring a complex time signature, disjointed rhythms, and themes of distrust, isolation, and deceit. It was one of the tracks the band completed during the album's mixing process due to lead singer Chester Bennington getting sick on the last week of scheduled recording. "From the Inside" was written by Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, Joe Hahn, and Rob Bourdon, and produced by Don Gilmore with Linkin Park. Even though it was the only single from Meteora to not enter the Billboard Hot 100 or the Modern Rock chart, the song fared quite well in Greece and the UK, reaching Number 15 in both countries. Meteora would go on to debut atop the Billboard 200 and was eventually certified Platinum seven times by the RIAA.
